We recently move into the area and found this wonderful family owned ice cream store. We got our hand-dipped ice cream, payed the amount due, and left the change in the tip jar. As I went back to grab a napkin, the worker was complaining to the next customer that the tip wasn’t sufficient enough for her. Last time I checked, tips were appreciated, but not expected. Our family was so disappointed in the lack of tactfulness that we refuse to go back. The ice cream was good, but I have met friendlier staff elsewhere. In this economy, she was lucky to have customers, nonetheless a tip.
